Jobs for famous people and companies has always been my favourite type of work! Pretty lucky to be given Scott Mills’ site as my next project. One more name to add to the list of clients I’ve done work for!

Sneak preview:

For those of you who haven’t heard of Scott:

I predict I’d be pretty proud of this one when it’s launched :)

Ooh yeah, I just got off from work after launching my first major project for GTI. And it’s not just some website, it is the Official portal for the most famous voice in Britain – Peter Dickson. I’ve developed the site from start to finish, using designs given me from the company’s lead designer.

I’m kinda getting bored of my current portfolio site and working on redesigning it, in order to showcase my work better. I hope to get this live in the next month or so, when I get more free time. Work and Uni have been a bit stressful lately!

Planning this one to be big and visually appealing, integrating more up-to-date with the current web design trends, using the awesome possibilities that CSS 3 and jQuery give me.

For the past year I’ve been working as a Freelance Web Developer for a company called O’Media Connect. We have built a good relationship, and I handle many of the company’s website projects.

I was just given the chance recently to design and develop the company’s online presence. The result:

A list of some more clients I have worked for while working for this company:
Clare Foxx (model) :)
Radiant Hair Salon
The Reunion (short film)
And maaany more..

Extremely impressed by Redweb’s office and the overall organisation and structure of the company! Our Uni project for this unit was to visit a new media company and to find out how it works, and then present it to our course mates and tutors.

Definitely a useful experience there!

I’m really excited about starting a new job at an office right on Bournemouth Square. When I least expected, while applying for work placement, I got a call from a company I applied for a while back, called George Thomas International. I’ll be a full time (part-time at term time) Web Developer. Freelancing was getting a bit stressful as well, as I was constantly on the lookout for new projects every week, so this is definitely good news for me.

To say more about the company, they have strong connections in the UK Entertainment industry, and run a university lifestyle portal called Kaboosh. They work with clients such as Shakeaway, Peter Dickson (the famous voiceover man from the X-Factor), Scott Mills (Radio 1 DJ) and various other businesses in England.

Hopefully, when University work is out of the way, I’d be able to do my full time placement with them. My manager Steve was happy to Things are really falling in place now!

Phew! This has been a tough one! But I am definitely happy with the result!

Alongside with 5 other 2nd year Interactive Media students, I have created an online Flash Educational Game, teaching English school kids (aged 7-11) about jobs and responsibilities. The site also features a back-end Teachers’ area, allowing them to keep track of their students’ progress with this educational tool.

It’s called Zac & The Blue Marble. Take a look:

This project has been probably the most complex Uni project in terms of functionality so far. Our brief was to a website, allowing BU Media Student to showcase their work. They have the ability to create their own profile, communicate with each other, and to upload their Website, Graphic Design, TV Production and Scriptwriter’s work. The site contains a Content Management System, allowing the site’s Administrators to edit and delete all content featured on the site.
